That first post indicated there would be posts regarding our road trip to Ohio and NOLA but it never got off the ground. Facebook posts won out, once again. But our Alaska adventure will be different! Here's the latest: the itinerary is set. I have spent countless, but enjoyable hours searching through other blogs, magazines and particular books to set the stage for a trip to be long-remembered. Our traveling buddies are all in so now we wait for July 15th to arrive.
We have made recommended purchases: rain suits, boots, head nets, mosquito repellant (Sawyer to treat our clothes), comfortable travel clothes plus the highly recommended Tour Saver coupon book.
Bob is in charge of the purchases for the truck and camper-especially extra tires. He also has received the paper work for carrying a rifle into Canada. With fly fishing every stream possible, he feels the need for protection from the Bears. I am still hoping he decides not to do this. I worry about the hold up at the border crossings which will be numerous.
