Day 8: We are experiencing 17 hours of daylight so it's barely dusk when the yawns begin at 10:00! I am looking out the window as I type-it's 9:30 with the sun still shining brightly.

It was an easy 400 mile drive day-at least it was for the passenger! First stop on entering the Yukon Territory, was the much anticipated Watson Lake Signpost Forest. Started by a homesick G.I. during the construction of the Alaskan Highway, it has grown to over 75,000 signs. And yes, we added to the forest! Sam & Ethel's Restaurant, Tipp City, Ohio is now part of the sign forest. Bob and I grew up in Tipp City, my family owned the restaurant, which is still in business today. It was an honor to make that sign part of this landmark.

The drive continued with animal sightings! A black bear, many Wood Buffalo, a fox and a porcupine. Now we are settled in for the next few days in Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon. Tomorrow we will tour the town and enjoy the Frantic Follies Vaudeville Revue tomorrow.

    1. Good idea for the Hot Springs except I think we turn for the Cassiar Highway before we get there. Will check the map-if possible, will do!
